April 22, 2021: [College Park, GA] — The Georgia Spartans basketball team has hired award-nominated talent management and diversity firm, Brooks Enterprise and Consultants to lead their learning and diversity initiatives. Brooks Enterprise and Consultants developed a three-year strategic learning and diversity plan for the Georgia Spartans.
The top initiatives are:
- Market segmentation expansion
- Women in sports leadership
- Youth fitness and health
- Inclusive community to include veterans, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+
“These initiatives will greatly impact our organization, players, sponsors, and fans in a positive way”, says Georgia Spartan CEO and founder, Jerrell Shearin. “Diversity in any company is a must, not an add on and we want to ensure it is part of our overall organizational goals.” Shearin continues.
Since its inception in 2011, The Georgia Spartans have been a pillar in the Atlanta community, providing “must-see” basketball and giving back to the community with domestic violence advocacy, holiday givebacks, health summits, and job fairs.
